   Obviously, it’s important that you have a good understanding of packages/options/pricing, but if that’s the only thing you evaluate in making your decision, you’re making a HUGE mistake.  We’ve heard countless horror stories of brides that end up with no photos (or terrible photos) because they tried to cut corners with their photography.   In fact, recently married couples say the biggest mistake they made was shopping based on price vs. what they really wanted.  Their biggest regret?  Shockingly, they said they regretted not spending more to get what they really wanted.
   By talking with the photographer, you can usually also get a feel for weather they will be “running the show” and expecting things to be done their way, or they are a photographer who is truly interested in what YOU want, and doing everything they can to make sure that your day flows in the way that you had in mind. 
   It’s a good idea to ask to view images from an entire wedding.  Anyone can take a couple of good photos here & there to showcase.  Only a true photographer can deliver consistently beautiful images throughout the entire day. 
   Start your search early.  It’s never too early to book the perfect photographer.  We sometimes book weddings 18 months or more in advance.  If you want your pick of the best, you have to start early.  If you put off your decision, you will end up with everyone else’s leftovers.

How many images do you typically capture at a wedding?   
That will obviously vary depending on a variety of factors but here are averages for 7+ hours:     
1 photographer 1500+
2 photographers 2500+
2 photographers all day 4000+
What format are the original images typically?       
We usually shoot RAW so we have the largest files possible. Our most recent camera shoots 50.6 megapixel images in JPG format so we often set that one to large JPG. Some software companies are still working on updating their systems to be able to handle these huge files.
When are the proofs available?          
Typically within a week of the wedding, usually the gallery starts loading within just a few days
Do you back-up the images?           
Yes, we keep multiple copies of the originals on different drives

How long do you keep the images?         
We intend to keep all our images.  We just keep buying new hard drives :)

Are there hidden fees with your packages?     
No, we do not charge extra for standard editing or up to 3 album revisions. (up to 3).
Do you offer full-res images with copyrights?    
Yes, all packages include high-res files with copyrights
Can I select my own pictures for the album?     
Yes, clients can create a favorites list, compare images, and order albums in our online gallery.  We also offer image selection service for a small fee.

Am I able to proof my album design?        
Yes, you can review your design, request revisions, and approve your design in our online system
How many years have you been in business?

What style of photography do you provide?     
A Wide Variety:  Traditional, Details, Artistic, Candid, Photojournalism, and fun shots that reflect personality!
What type of camera equipment do you use?        
Most of us shoot Canon, but we have a couple Nikon shooters

Do you use the latest cameras?          
Yes, we update our cameras frequently.  We rotate our cameras so the main cameras are the latest and older cameras are back-ups.  We currently have 7 cameras, 4 of which are used regularly and 3 that are back-ups.
How many cameras are typically used at the wedding?    
1 photographer: 2;    2 photographers:  3-4
 Do you have back-up equipment?         
Yes, we have back-up cameras, flash, lights, media cards, batteries, etc.
 Do you have a variety of lenses?         
I don't believe I've had a client actually ask me this question, but it becomes a very important question when you know someone who hired a photographer with only one lens (who stood in front of the bide and groom the entire ceremony so no one else could even see). It is vital that a professional photography invest in the proper equipment to do their job in a way that will not intrude on the couple themselves or their guests. We have wide-angle lenses to capture the overall story and a telephoto lens to zoom into specific details (like just the hands as the rings are placed) or to capture a tear on the groom's face as he first looks at his bride. We have lenses that can capture an entire room or reach across a room to capture a candid laugh or hug. We also have artistic lenses like a fish-eye lens. We find that it is important to offer variety in every area of our business from the images we capture, the equipment we use, to the products that we provide.
